Here’s what I did:
If you know how to sew a half circle skirt, it is the same principle.I made a half circle on the side of the paper/fabric, without folding it with 14 inch radius, then I made another half circle with 3 in radius. When cut and when sides are connected it looks like an upside down cone without the top.
- the measurements I had were that the goose has a neck circumference of 9 in and the length of the dress I wanted to be 11 inches.
- to make the big semi circle I added 11”+3”
Given C=9” (neck circumference)
Find radius r=?
r= (9”x2)/6.28 r=2.68=3”
Given r=14” for the body if the dress find C to make sure the bottom hem is enough the cover the body, and to find the lace length.
2C/6.28=14” C=44”
Lace length approximate 44”+9” [but I never measured, because I have so much lace]
I cut one piece of fabric added lace on the neck and bottom hem and sew the side together.
The bow is scrap I folded in two and added lace on the edges, folded it like harmonica/ fan and sew the middle, tied ribbon in the middle together with the elastic (cut the elastic 9.5” and tied a knot).Here's a crochet tutorial for a goose outfit:
