6x19 in is the Size of panels

4mm and 5.5mm Crochet hooks used

Close look at the color sequence: total number of rows starting with 4 rows blue, brown and white alternating for 5 rows, 4 rows peach color

Yarn used: kitchen cotton 100%. 1 skein of each color.

 Crochet the bag:

Row 1: chain 61, 60 double crochets in each chain, counting the chain 2 as a dc

Row 2: chain 3, skip 3 double crochets, granny cluster in between the posts (granny cluster is 3 double crochets) repeat till the end and last stitch is a double crochet into top of the chain.

Row 3: chain 3, 2 double crochets in the spot between the double crochet posts, keep crocheting granny clusters till the end in the spot between the granny clusters

Repeat rows 2 and 3 for 13 rows, ordering the colors the way you want

Crochet 4 panels total.

How to change colors: before you pull the last loop of the double crochet, get your new color, make a slip knot and use the new color to finish the double crochet stitch

 Crochet the straps:

Row 1: chain 6, 5 single crochets, chain 1, turn

Row 2:5 single crochets, chain 1, turn

Row 3: pick the back loop and the foundation chain and then do single crochet, 5 times, chain 1, turn

Row 4: pick the back loop from the single crochets, and the exposed loops from the lower row do a single crochet, 5 times, chain 1, turn

Crochet 2 straps, 19 inches long

Repeat row 4

Connect the sides and handles with slip stitches picking the back loops from each panel, but the yarn should come from under the project.

Add a zippered pouch instead of a lining. I used a travel bag with zipper and mesh front to keep valuables.

All that's required to start this project is worsted weight yarn and a 5 mm crochet hook. This tutorial serves as an excellent resource for novices looking to explore simple and beginner-friendly crochet dishcloth patterns. The intricate yet manageable design ensures that crafting these dishcloths is a quick and enjoyable endeavor, particularly for those who relish do-it-yourself projects.

The beauty of these dishcloths lies not only in their functionality but also in their versatility. Beyond their primary purpose in the kitchen, they can also be used in bathrooms for gentle exfoliation or even as coasters to protect surfaces from hot pots and pans. Their soft yet sturdy texture makes them suitable for various household tasks, adding both practicality and charm to any space

Moreover, the choice of materials is not only about functionality but also about sustainability. By opting for cotton yarn, crafters contribute to eco-friendly practices, reducing their environmental footprint while indulging in creative pursuits. This eco-conscious approach aligns with a growing trend towards mindful consumption and responsible living.

What truly sets these dishcloths apart is the personal touch they carry. Handcrafted with care and attention to detail, each piece is a labor of love, infused with the maker's creativity and craftsmanship. As such, they hold a unique value beyond their practical utility, becoming cherished keepsakes and meaningful gifts for friends and family.

In essence, these dishcloths represent more than just household accessories; they embody a sense of community, creativity, and sustainability. With each stitch, crafters contribute to a culture of handmade craftsmanship and environmental stewardship, transforming ordinary materials into extraordinary works of art.
